Asparagus update and ordering info for this week!

We have started harvesting asparagus! Quantities are limited so this week asparagus is only available through online pre-orders with a limit of 2 bunches per customer. Pre-ordering will open today, Monday May 1st at 6pm for flowers and veggies to be picked up Wednesday May 3rd from 2pm-4pm and 4pm-6pm. Ordering will close Wednesday at 6am. For Wednesday pick-ups we also have lots of beautiful tulips, spinach, fancy daffodils, and Fat Moon mushrooms available! The complete list of what is available can be found below. Later this week (Wednesday at 6pm) we will open orders for Friday pick-up and we expect to open for walk-up sales of asparagus and other items starting Tuesday, May 9th.

Pre-orders for Friday pick-up and Mushroom CSA information

Pre-ordering will open today, Wednesday April 26th at 6pm for flower and veggies to be picked up Friday April 28th 2pm-4pm and 4pm-6pm! Ordering will close Friday at 6am. We have added mushrooms, arugula, pea shoots, and more for Friday pick-ups. The complete list of what is available can be found below.

We expect to be open for walk-up sales of asparagus starting Tuesday, May 9th. May 9th is also the start of our Spring Mushroom CSA with Fat Moon. If you’d like to join us there is still time to sign up here! The Spring Mushroom CSA will be 8 weeks long (May 9th - week of June 27th ) and each week you'll receive one pound of Fat Moon's fresh, organic mushrooms. Over the course of the season, expect to get a taste of varieties like Shiitake, Chestnut, Lion's Mane, Pioppino, various Oyster mushrooms, and more! Pick-up will be self serve on the farm stand on Tuesdays for the first 3 weeks. After that the farm store will be staffed, so they can be picked up any time the farm store is open.

Ordering opens at 6pm today for tulips, green garlic, salad turnips, and more!

Tulip season is now well underway with more favorites such as Orange Princess (pictured above) and Creme Upstar (double tulip that is pale yellow with apricot and rose edges) now blooming! Please note that as of this week we have set up our online store to collect sales tax on non-food items, so you will now see MA sales tax added to your flower purchases. This means that when you get to the check-out stage online you will see a total cost of $26.56 per tulip bouquet. For any flowers available for walk-up sales while the farm stand is still self-serve (like daffodils), the tax is included in the total price. This means that when daffodils are also available online later this week you will see a decrease in the initial price to $9.41 in order to keep the total at $10 including tax.

This week we continue to have kale mix, radishes, salad turnips, and spinach available from our high tunnels. In the next week or two the spring high tunnel harvests end and we will be turning the beds over to prepare for planting summer crops in their place. However, by the time we are out of greens in the tunnels the asparagus should be ready! We anticipate having asparagus available for pre-orders and walk-up sales by May 9th (and possibly a small amount before then!).
