Tulip orders for Tuesday pick-up and asparagus update!

We have lots of tulips again this week, so we will open online ordering early for bouquet pick-up on Tuesday, May 6th, 2pm - 6pm. Ordering opens today (May 5th) at 4pm, and closes Tuesday morning at 6am. We’ll also have Mother’s Day tulips available to order starting Tuesday night. We’ll send out an email Tuesday with details!

This week the farm stand will also be open on a self-serve basis. We’ll not only have asparagus, but also spinach, pea shoots, green garlic, seedlings and snapdragons! (Tulips are only available by pre-ordering.) Because the farm stand is self-serve, if you are paying with cash you will need to bring exact change. You can also pay by check or Barrett’s Bucks (if you are a Bucks member). Like last year, we will also have the option to pay via credit card through your smart phone. We’ll have a QR code that will take you to a website where you can select your items and then complete your purchase.

(We will likely begin opening earlier in the day next week)

Asparagus: Bunches are about 0.7 lb. $6/bunch. There will likely be a limit on number of bunches per customer this week.
Pea shoots: 1/4 lb bag. $6.50
Spinach: 1/2 lb bag. $7
Green garlic: $4/bunch
Popcorn (on the cob): 2lb bag. $10
Snapdragon bouquets: $20 (including tax)
Seedlings: $6 for tomatoes and peppers; $5 for kale and herbs; $8 for six packs of snapdragons, $3 for other flower seedlings (both flower seedling prices include sales tax).
Fat Moon Mushrooms: Farmer’s Mix ($10.25 8oz) and Shiitake ($6.25 4oz). All are certified organic. Available starting Thursday at 2pm. Pre-ordering on Tuesday night is your best bet to ensure you get mushrooms.
Applesauce from Long Run Produce in Boxborough, MA. Certified Organic. $12/jar
Baer’s Best Beans: 1 pound bags. Grown in South Berwick, Maine. Varieties available include: Cannellini, Black Turtle, Italian Cranberry and Light Red Kidney. Certified Organic. $8.50/bag
Double B Honey: From hives on the property. Not organic. $14 (1lb jar)

Asparagus online pre-orders now available!

We have started the asparagus harvest and have added it to our online store selection for pick-up tomorrow, Friday May 2nd from 2pm-6pm! If you have already ordered other items and would like to order asparagus we will combine your orders for pick-up! As this is the first asparagus harvest of the season we have placed a limit of 2 bunches per customer. If we do end up with more asparagus than is sold online we will have it have out for self serve walk up sales tomorrow (Friday 2pm-6pm) with our narcissus!

Orders are currently open and close tomorrow morning, Friday May 2nd at 6am. We also have tulips, high tunnel greens, Fat Moon mushrooms, seedlings and more still available to order!

We have the first seedlings of the season for sale for Friday pick-up! Tomatoes (cherry, heirloom, slicing), kale, herbs and snapdragons are available. Seedlings are not hardened off so should be left outdoors during the day and brought inside or covered on cold nights for a week or so before planting. Plant after the danger of frost has passed or plan to cover on cold nights.

Ordering opens today, April 29th at 6pm and closes Friday May 2nd a 6am. Pick-ups are Friday, May 2nd, 2pm - 6pm.

We have so many tulips and narcissus right now that we are adding in a pre-order day this week! Pre-ordering opens at 3pm today (Monday, April 28th), and ordering will close Tuesday, April 29th at 6am. Flower order pick-up s Tuesday April 29th 2pm - 6pm.

We will have another round of tulip ordering opening on Tuesday night for pick-ups on Friday, but it’s possible that some of the varieties on the list below may not be available by then. On Friday we will also have a limited selection of greens.

Double blooming tulip varieties include:

Blue Wow: deep purple with densely-packed peony type blooms. It has a beautiful evolution in it’s appearance as it matures!
Creme Upstar: cream and blush colored peony-type bloom
Orange Princess: orange peony-type bloom. Could be your last chance for this variety!
Sunlover: golden yellow peony-type bloom with orange and red striations.

Heirloom Narcissus:

Possible varieties include Art Design, Obdam, Orangery and Le Torch. Bouquets are 10 stems. We will also have some narcissus bouquets available for walk-up sales ($10/bunch including tax)
